It was the time of Holi in 2019, my wife and me with our 2 yr old daughter planned a sudden trip. My childhood friend was very happy to host us at his place in Chandigarh.
Obviously plans were to visit Shimla, a must visit hill station in North India.
My friend visited Shimla many times, and he told us that we will visit Narkanda, a nearby village and will be staying there, he already did the hotel bookings over there.
But we were thinking to visit Shimla on priority,as it was first time me and my family was going there, so it was an obvious feeling. But we just never took that place so seriously.
So, after settling in Chandigarh for a night, next early morning we left to Shimla.
Gradually crossed the city, and reached on the highways in between mountains, the vacation feel was already boosting in my mind as usual.
As in every highway drive, one of my keen interest is to discover a perfect road side food and refreshment point. And yes, we got one...
It was i think around 8am, we reached a dhaba built on the verge of the valley with a beautiful landscape view. Order was prefix ..Aloo paratha , Tea ,and some maggi. It was tasty and perfect for that time.
We all were feeling relax and dint knew what was coming in our way after few hours.... And the journey continues with all old discussions, discussions on each other's life, with a conclusion that grass looks always greener on the other side.
Few hours passed away and we were able to see the upcoming city of beautiful hill station.... Shimla.
Without wasting time we crossed the hustle and bustle of city which was actually very much crowded . Actually U will not feel to stop there.
Enroute Narkanda which is situated approximately 70kms uphill from Shimla city, u will start witnessing the actual beauty of Himachal. Snow on both the sides of our track. We need to slow down our speed , as it was slippery at some places to drive over snow.
After a careful drive we passes Kufri a well known spot, therez a famous Amusement park built in Kufri, a main attraction for tourists.
After crossing all the snowy turns , we reached Narkanda, a small village in heart of mountains and from there headed straight to our prebooked hotel.
Till now we all were very cheerful, untill we saw a big lock on the main gate of that hotel... Everyone was surprised to see that and we could smell that something is wrong.
